Big Boi Album Playback

Went to Big Boi of Outkast’s album playback on Thursday at Bungalow 8, and it’s safe to say it’s an album of bangers! Played in full to an audience for the first time, the album, curiously entitled ‘Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty’ has been over 5 years in the making, and is finally out on July 5.

The production is phenomenal with a good mix of accessible tracks mixed in with some harder material, and there are definitely some hot singles to follow ‘Shutterbug’.

At the end there was a question and answer session with Big Boi, and I even got to ask a question! He said that he would love to work with Dizzee, Chipmunk and erm, Kate Bush. It took him 40 months to make the album, and he is currently working on the new Outkast project, woohoo!

Watch out for this one, it’s big!
